A digital museum celebrating the achievements of people of colour in film, television, and the arts

Different perspectives matter

Museum of Colour is a groundbreaking digital museum that is recognising and celebrating the contribution that people of colour have made to British film, television and the arts over the last 250 years. By showcasing the creative output of these artists and creatives, Museum of Colour aims to raise awareness of their work, encourage today’s artists and creatives – and inspire young people to follow in their footsteps.

A social enterprise with a strong research focus, Museum of Colour is building an online museum and also supports contemporary artists to respond to existing British history in collaboration with heritage organisations.
